Dr. Scramstad and the professional team at Align Ortho in Kelowna want you to know that your first orthodontic appointment will be a breeze! Our team will ensure you are completely comfortable and answer any questions you may have. Comprehensive X-Rays and an oral exam will be conducted in order to determine which course of treatment will give you the best results. From traditional braces to clear brackets and Invisalign, our office is dedicated to the success of your smile and the health and well being of your mouth. We will help you get to know the office and our policies and welcome you to our extended family!

Dental Impression Moulds

Our team will take impressions with special dental materials that set extremely fast around your teeth. We apply the product and have you bite down like normal before removing the impression material. Next, we send your dental impressions to the lab and a mould will be cast. This can be an interesting keepsake as part of your before and after. Impressions will be taken again when treatment is complete to ensure your bite is correctly aligned.

Case Presentation: Your Orthodontic Options

Once we have a clear picture of your oral health including teeth and jaw alignment; we will sit down and discuss your personal options. The type treatment you choose will directly influence how long you will be under orthodontic care and how much everything will cost. We are happy to explain the pros and cons of every method and recommend your best option. We will discuss the oral health requirements of each treatment to help you determine which method will blend into your lifestyle the best and what your oral health responsibilities will be.

While you may have taken the smooth surface of your teeth for granted previously, we promise it won’t be long before you are used of the metallic bumps and defined edges.
